Message Regarding COVID-19

March 17, 2020

Every day, SP+ is committed to keeping its customers, clients and employees safe. As part of that commitment, SP+ is monitoring the COVID-19 crisis closely so we are prepared to continue conducting our operations safely. We want everyone to know the things we’re doing to combat COVID-19’s impact on our activities.

Driven by our concern for the safety and wellbeing of those who access our facilities, we have in place pandemic preparedness protocols and procedures that incorporate CDC and WHO guidelines and communications. Among other things:

  • We’ve adopted strict guidelines to enhance procedures for keeping our facilities and the things people touch clean.

  • Our employees have received clear instructions about the personal hygiene and social distancing practices necessary to limit the spread of germs.

  • Our employment practices and communication chains are designed to provide our employees with immediate access to current virus-related information, including the need for any infected employee to remain home and isolated from the general population.

  • Our business continuity plan is intended to provide a clear roadmap of the steps we would need to take to address the continuity of the Company’s administrative and field functions in the face of potential human or technological resource limitations.

Fortunately, because we have an abundant, committed workforce, we’ve been able to do these things without unnecessarily restricting any of the services we offer.

No doubt the COVID-19 crisis is unprecedented and full of challenges. Accordingly, we have created an internal task force to address changing circumstances, as well as any specific inquiries or requests from our customers, clients and employees, as quickly and prudently as possible. We will, of course, also update our general public communications as appropriate.

Historically, SP+ has always risen to the challenge presented by major disasters – such as the September 11 terrorist attack, the Hurricane Katrina natural disaster, the 2008 Great Recession and other regional disasters. With the powerful humanity and commitment of our 23,000+ person workforce, working together with our clients and customers, we’re confident we will all pull through this together.
